The Enchanted Unicorn slot, sometimes referred to simply as the Unicorn slot,
is a bonus video slot straight from the casino floors of Vegas. Compared to a lot of the
Vegas casino slots, especially the popular ones like
Davinci Diamonds and the Cleopatra slot.
Enchanted Unicorn feels a bit "old skool" now. In fact, I feel that IGT games in general are starting
to feel a bit dated when you look at new offerings from Bally and WMS for example. Some of their
online-only slots like Star Trek slot are more with it but this is the
exception rather than the norm.
That all said, the graphics and sounds on Enchanted Unicorn are fine and the expanding
wild symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 can make for some pretty decent wins. There are no free
spins on Enchanted Unicorn, but there is quite a neat touch on a pick 'em style bonus game
where you rise through several tiers towards a prize box, winning one or several
amounts on each tier.
So the Enchanted Unocorn slots aren't the best IGT ever did IMO, and I've never really seen the
big appeal but there is still an audience for this type of game which is why it is here.
I will be honest, I was always amazed when I used go to my local casino when this game was still there
and see that the two slots without free spin bonus rounds - this one and
Rainbow Riches seem to be always busy! Personally,
I spent most of time playing classic video slots like Cleopatra 2
and the more innovative games like WMS Gaming's MoneyBurst game, Bruce Lee.
