Sizzling Hot Deluxe is something of a rarity in the Novomatic slots catalogue. Yes, it sits squarely in with a long line of easy to play classic fruit machines but, it’s pretty low variance. I’m all for variety and if you want something which has the traditional Novomatic feel, the simplicity of a fruity and a relatively harmless impact to your bankroll, this is a top choice. Of course, it doesn’t have the flair and pizazz of big branded slots from the likes of IGT and WMS but, that isn’t what you play this type of game for! There’s plenty of big action titles out there like Family Guy or Fantastic 4 if that is your cup of tea.
Although the Sizzling Hot Deluxe slot is in essence, a fruit machine, it’s structure is very typical 5x3 reel video slot in format. There are just five pay-lines on offer and only eight symbols on the in game pay-table. It’s nice to know that even though the game is fairly benign, you can occasionally score big with it. There are no free spins features on offer on the game and even the scatter award, though nice to have, pays less than the sevens with a 50x max win for all five, they also only pay out from x3 or more so you lose the two symbol pay-outs possible on many fruit machines. Overall, as a pretty committed gambler I’d lean more towards Novomatic titles like Spinning Stars and Power stars if I wanted something simple to play. However, both of those games are decidedly high variance so if you just want something simple and not very dangerous, I can see why Sizzling Hot Deluxe has such a good following.
